Activities

The Stewart Community Home is always looking for volunteers to sponsor, coordinate, conduct or simply help out with activities for our residents.  If you are interested in participating or sharing your time, please contact Debra Williams (ext 107) or Justino Lopez (ext 109) at the Stewart Community Home.  Activities are an important part of the services we offer our residents.  Activities that we currently have in place are Bingo, Arts and Crafts, Reading and Writing, different physical activities (aerobics, low impact exercises, Thai Chi), and others.  Some requests we have had from the residents are teaching a foreign language, teaching sign language, knitting, and educational information about different cultures, just to mention a few.

 Reception Area 

The Stewart Community Home is looking for volunteers to work at our reception area.  This volunteer would greet and monitor visitors and residents as they come into and leave the facility, maintain the sign in/sign out log, and help give information and directions concerning the Stewart Community Home and the surrounding area.  Shifts for this position vary and are scheduled around the availability of the volunteers and staff.  For more information and requirements for this volunteer position, please contact Justino Lopez at extension 109. 

Grounds 

The Stewart Community Home has a wonderfully landscaped facility.  We are always in need of help maintaining the outside landscaping around the building itself, as well as, out in the area behind the building.  If you enjoy this type of work and would like to help us continue to maintain a pleasant atmosphere and appearance, please contact Justino Lopez at ext 109 for further information.
